Wear a mask to protect 2 persons - yourself and anyone you come in contact with!
Our "Wear2Protect" initiative is meant to encourage the wearing of face masks as a major protective and defensive tool against the spread of the corona virus. It is one of the major safety protocols advised by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), World Health Organisation (WHO) and Nigerian Centre for Diseases Control (NCDC). We are pushing this initiative to support their efforts by encouraging our members to implement the global health & safety protocols as it concerns their various areas of practice.
When you wear a face mask, and encourage others to wear the same, the risk of infection will be greatly reduced and subsequently the spread of the covid-19 virus will be greatly mitigated. The travel and tourism industry is a high-contact industry and we in ATPN has embarked on this Wear2Protect project to put the wearing of face mask in the minds of practitioners and travellers alike. It is mandatory for ALL practitioners to enforce this initiative at all tourism and members establishments across Nigeria including the observance of 2 metres physical disctancing. We have a task force that will ensure the strict adherence to this initiative and report offenders to the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on Covid-19 for appropriate sanctions.

As you can see from the image above, wearig a face mask by parties coming into contact with each other presents zero (0) risk with at least 2 metres physical distance. This is why we are pushing for the compulsory wearing of face masks in all tourism busineses.
